Session 1 Reflection
How has the last 18 months in the Concordia Graduate Program impacted your work as an educator?
  • It has made me to step up as a teacher-leader within my school - ex: school rules, discipline, being positive
  • It has encouraged me to pick up more responsibilities within my school - ex: data, school improvement, public relations
  • It has encouraged me to reflect more often
How have you grown personally and professionally?
  • I have become a better listener
  • I have become more of a learner or "sponge"
  • I have become a better observer
  • I have become a visible leader within my school
What are 3 major criticisms from the Concordia Graduate Program?
  • Less than pertinent online courses - ex: assignments consist of reading chapters and writing papers
  • Unclear expectations from the university for professors - ex: one course failed to assign a required portfolio II paper and confusion about the seminar paper
  • Lack of clear communication from the university - ex: financial aid
What do you hope to get from this class?
  • I hope that this course will culminate my experience and tie together the concepts that I have learned to this date in the program
